...as being a DJ

Since the moment I heard Zouk the first time, when I felt that beat going right through me, I'm in love with the music! I started to play it for others in 2005 and more and more people have been enjoying my sets every year.  Whenever I can I travel to Paris or Lisbon to get new music, especially Lisbon, I love it there; lot's of Kizomba... and it reminds me of Brazil in a way ;-)

I'm always chasing after new songs, new albums. I love to play the kinds of songs that touches someone (and sometimes kick ass!). I choose different styles and speeds, but all of them (should) make people want to dance...  me too!

If you're curious about where I've played, just check out my history page.

...as being a dance teacher (Zouk)

I've been dancing all my life, but I discovered Zouk and other Brazilian dances in 2003. Right after I started, I joined Claudio Gomes' Zouklovers, performed in several locations & congresses (national & international) and helped out with the lessons. In 2004 I went to Brazil for 6 months to take a lot of lessons there in Zouk and Samba de Gafieira, but off course also to enjoy that beautiful culture and the incredible beauty the nature has to offer!

In the beginning of 2005 I started to take over some of Claudio's lessons when he had to go to Brazil and since later 2005 I started to give my own classes and I have been teaching ever since, in all levels.  In March 2008 I was honored to give some workshops on the 4th Brazilian Dance Congress in Rio de Janeiro.

Being a dance teacher is about more than just teaching steps and sequences. Musicality, style and good technique (VERY important in Zouk) give this dance it's appealing gracefulness & sensuality, so in my lessons I focus on the complete package!

I love practically all dances and try to do them whenever I can... From Zouk to Salsa, from Kizomba (passada) to Funana, from Bachata to Samba (all kinds of samba!), from hiphop/streetdance to jazz and I have a lot of respect for those who love their dances asswell, just enjoy the music in your own way!
